Great Southern Yarns SRS Merino 4ply

$38.00

Grown by Great Southern Yarns, this non-super wash yarn is a new type of Merino. SRS (Soft Rolling Skin) merino are bred to be non-wrinkled and plain bodied, making them naturally resistant to fly-strike and thus removing the need for mulesing in these flocks, resulting in better welfare. This trait also means that the shearer can clip closer to the body, and less frequently, resulting in longer fibres and over generations is projected to result in finer fibres.

The SRS Merino here is gorgeously soft, still has a faint scent of sheep, and is a lofty, bouncy 4ply construction with 325m per 100g (355y/3.5oz). Being non-super wash, this yarn is perfect for fair isle projects large and small.

PLEASE NOTE: all colourways are dyed to order, so there is a minimum 2-3 week delay between ordering and receiving your yarn. We will always contact you to let you know if there is any delay in processing your order.
