2025 Sheep Breed Yarn and Fibre Club
Calling all sheep obsessives!
Want to learn about some of the breeds here in Australia? love to knit and or crochet? Or perhaps you’re a spinner, and you’d love to try some new fibres. Well, I’m running a quarterly subscription club where you can explore them! I will be using Corriedale, Polwarth, Merino, and a Finn/Romney mix throughout the year. Each quarter, the yarn and fibre will be from the same breed of sheep, and will include some information about the sheep, the producers, and the typical uses for the fibre from that sheep!
You can choose to order as a once off, or to buy a subscription (for 10% off the entire year).
To showcase how fibres of different breeds take dyes differently, all the yarns will be a 4ply weight, and dyed the same colour: Royals. This is a multi- layered, rich tonal purple, with hints of magenta and lilac peeking through.
For the braided roving, the colourway each quarter will be a surprise, but you can expect rich, deep colours.
To make things easier if you just want one quarter, I’ve listed the order of the sheep breed clubs below
Quarter One: Corriedale
Quarter Two: Merino
Quarter Three: Polwarth
Quarter Four: TBC
Join me on a colourful, beautiful journey through Australia’s yarns! Items will be shipped in March, June, September and December of 2025
